From the Football Conference and the Southern League right through to the National Ice Hockey League, rugby league, futsal and varsity cricket, there is so much good quality sport in our county that we think doesn’t get the coverage it deserves.
That’s where we come in. With over a decade of professional sports broadcasting experience to our names, we wanted to provide Oxfordshire sports fans with the live coverage they deserve. As we’re an online broadcaster, we have no industry regulators or public service remit telling us what we should and shouldn’t cover, nor how long we should cover it for.
So we’re free to provide unadulterated, uninterrupted, professional, passionate and personal live coverage of any and all sport in the county we like.
We are powered by our friends at Oxbox.TV, the county’s most respected independent online broadcasters, who have 6 years of experience and help us provide high-quality, flexible and interactive live coverage, which you can listen to at home, on your phone, in the car, at the gym… basically anywhere you can get a 3G or WIFI signal.
If you have some sport you’d like to hear broadcast online, let us know via the
contact us page.
We’re often joined by local sports experts to get their expert opinions, including former Oxford United legend and Oxford City manager, Mike Ford. But at the core, we are:
Andrew
Andrew “Selfy” Self - Chief sports reporter on Jack FM for six years. Produced and presented the station’s popular flagship live show, the Big Banana, which provided live commentary of all Oxford United matches from 2007 until 2013. Can often be found all over the county, searching out sport, sport and more sport, and if not, he’ll be munching a “Bells Burger” in Kidlington.
James
James “Swiss Yellow” Schall - former part time Big Banana Boy, “the Shipping Forecaster” James is our resident ice hockey expert, and well-known Oxford United fanatic and Twitter personality. “The Morecambe Clapper” knows his video games and can often be found on social media extolling the virtues of the pub, video games, OUFC, the pub, Oxford City Stars, and the pub. His views on certain exiled rugby union teams are currently unclear.
Andy
Andy Roberts - Selfy’s co-commentator and right hand man on the Big Banana for five years, much of which he spent hiding behind a microphone interviewing angry Oxford United managers. Works in the press office for Oxford City Stars and can often be found in the queue at the Swinford toll bridge, or munching a “Dead Elvis and Sci-Fries” on the Cowley Road.
